Personalized Planning, Thoughtful Touches

At the 1754 House, your wedding isn’t just an event—it’s a reflection of your story. From your first planning meeting to the final course of your reception, Executive Chef and Owner Michael Bates-Walsh is personally involved in helping you bring that story to life. With decades of experience directing culinary operations at top New England restaurants, hotels, and luxury resorts, Chef Bates-Walsh brings world-class expertise with a deeply personal touch.

Couples often choose from our thoughtfully crafted menu packages, which offer a variety of seasonal, crowd-pleasing favorites. But for those who want to add a personal note, Chef Bates-Walsh goes a step further—asking questions like, “What did you eat on your first date?” or “Is there something you do together every Friday night?” He’ll look for meaningful ways to incorporate your favorite flavors or traditions, creating a menu that feels like it was made just for you. This kind of personal attention isn’t standard everywhere—but it’s what we do at the 1754 House.

Reach out today to start planning your wedding or rehearsal dinner with Chef Bates-Walsh and our team. Let’s create a celebration that’s truly your own.
